Polishing:
To maintain the original luster on smooth finishes, use a fine automobile wax and follow the directions specified on the container. Try to avoid getting wax onto the sling fabric, as it is often times difficult to remove. On textured finishes periodically apply mineral or baby oil.
DO NOT USE A PRESSURE WASHER TO CLEAN YOUR FURNITURE. IT WILL VOID MOST FACTORY WARRANTIES. The force of compressed water can damage or remove the finish and could harm the fabric. Tossing patio furniture in a freshly treated pool IS NOT recommended. This can cause long term problems for both your furniture and your pool!
DO NOT MACHINE WASH OR MACHINE DRY THE CUSHION CASINGS/COVERS. DOING SO MAY DAMAGE THE SEAMS OF THE CASE OR EVEN SHRINK THEM, MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO RESTUFF THE CUSHION CORE!
Sling Fabrics:
Spot wash the fabric to clean spills by using a sponge or a soft bristle brush with a warm, soapy solution of mild detergent (Joy® or Ivory® liquid). Brush or sponge the soiled area and rinse thoroughly with fresh water. Allow to air dry.
For stubborn stains or to remove discoloration from mildew use a mixture of one part bleach to 6 parts water. Spot test a small area in an inconspicuous location for color fastness. Apply the mixture to the sling fabric and brush with a soft bristle brush. Take care not to get any on your clothes as it will discolor them. Rinse thoroughly with warm water and allow to air dry. Repeat again if necessary.
DO NOT USE STEAM OR WATER EXCEDING 100° F TO CLEAN YOUR SLING FABRIC. DO NOT USE SOLVENTS, CARBON TETRACHLORIDE, SCOURING AGENTS, JANITORIAL CLEANSERS, GASOLINE, METAL BRUSHES OR HARD PLASTIC BRUSHES TO CLEAN YOUR SLING FABRIC.
